Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled), plus much more for work surface
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, reduce 1/2-inch pieces
  • three to five tablespoons cold water
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced small (1 1/2 cups)
  • 4 medium carrots, diced small (2 cups)
  • 2 garlic clove cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • Coarse salt and ground pepper
  • 3 cups shredded cooked chicken (15 ounces)
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
